Crime Analyst Kate Heaney tracks down killers from the comfort of her computer desk. But when her estranged husband, Henry, turns up dead in a snow-covered ditch and her troubled brother, Conor, becomes the prime suspect, Kate is forced to confront her family’s dark history.
She suspects that someone who knows about her brother’s past set him up to take the blame for Henry’s murder. When she fails to sway the lead investigator, Detective Erik Jorgensen – who happens to be her ex-lover – Kate is compelled to track down the real killer on her own. But digging into her husband’s case puts Kate and her family in the killer’s crosshairs. What begins as a hunt for the truth turns into a harrowing fight for survival.
Off the Mark
Linda Sanche’s debut novel, Off the Mark, is in the final stages of completion. Now she’s plotting out the sequel, Sob Stories, about the murder of a tear researcher. Prior to her book writing career, Linda worked in factual series television, including three seasons as a story producer on the true crime show Murder She Solved. Most recently, she earned a forensic certificate in Crime and Intelligence Analysis but discovered she was better suited to writing about crime than investigating it. After living in Vancouver for many years, Linda now resides in Calgary.
